I think the issue is more with your original comment is
that a miss is a miss no matter if the line holds it block or not it goes down as a miss. We are saying who cares about the stat of the miss. If the line doesnt hold the block than it has no shot of making it through the up rights. You have no idea if that is the 40+ yard FG he hits if the line holds their blocks.
It would have been nice to have it a little closer, but the reason he missed that FG had nothing to do with the kicker. If there is a missed FG there are many elements outside of the kicker. Holder, snapper and line holding the blocks are all elements in those stats.
