You can realistically argue that EVERY other QB that faced BSU put up better numbers than Taysom did.
USU's QB destroyed Taysom's numbers.

Myers (USU) 29-50 287 TD
Jennings (ULL) 21-33 186 TD
Those are not the best performances. Those are Utah freaking State and Louisiane Lafayette.
Both had better completion %, more (or the same) yards, more TDs, more yards / pass. (Rushing was similar as well).
All of them lost - Only Taysom had 5 TOs to work with was spotted 14 pts by the Defense, he had best starting field position and the most possessions.
There is no metric under which Taysom is a better QB than the pride of Ogden. To say that's a good outing is saying we've lowered the bar too far.
This is not about a prior game narrative - the numbers were bad. Second half numbers were better - first half was beyond atrocious.
