I am seeing dropped passes - I saw them with Heaps too. Lots of reasons for dropped passes
To say it's because receivers are bad is oversimplification - not that hey don't deserve any blame, they probably also don't deserve 100% of it.

There are reasons for dropped passes. When it becomes an epidemic it's usually either the coach or the QB. (Last time - same coach - changing QB fixed the drops - may or may not be the case now - but you have to admit that Taysom does not throw a consistent, or catchable ball).

The single biggest reason for dropped passes is timing. These are not BAD receivers. But the field is hectic. You practice - you expect a ball to be thrown at a particular place at a particular time while at the same time trying to avoid being blown up by someone who wants to cause you as much pain as possible. Not an easy thing to do. Small changes in timing or accuracy make HUGE differences in completion % - especially at the college level. Watch how often the receivers are not high pointing the ball - they are usually jumping early and catching it on the way down. This indicates that they are expecting a slightly different pass than they got. Those small differences are very problematic come game time and come down to QB/receiver chemistry - and for whatever reason - it's just not there.

To think that other QB's don't have dropped passes is also naive. Sure. If every OL had made every block, every receiver had made every catch. The QB had made every read and pass. The RB had made every cut, and defense had made every tackle we would have won 1 billion to 0 with thousands of yards.

We didn't play perfectly. Taysom's numbers looked the same as they always do - that game wasn't an outlier.

Again - I don't disagree with a lot of what you're saying, you're making decent points - but to say that Taysom "Was the only guy who played consistently well" is not one of you good points.
