Good discussion - But this is the line of thinking that I - and others - used with Jake Heaps
Stats average out.
Numbers don't lie.

Somehow with a change in QB - as much as I wanted to believe it was all the receivers - suddenly the dropped passes stopped, blocking improved, even the RB improved.

There are hundreds of reasons/excuses/possibilities that can't be taken into account - that's why performance is all that matters. Is it possible that the rumors that Taysom isn't staying after practice to gain chemistry with his new receivers are true? Very possible. Is it possible his inconsistency in throwing is leading to drops? Yup. Is it possible that him hanging his receivers out to dry over the middle is leading to them being cautious? Definitely. Is it possible that they have simply lost confidence in him ever getting the ball to them without running and consequently are running lazy routes and surprised when the ball gets there? Yes.

It's also possible that none of the above are true. The fact remains that Taysom's numbers are bad. If this was ANY QB but Taysom he would have been replaced games ago. Emotionally I don't want to see him replaced. The numerical analysis side of me says there is no other option.
