I think Mika has been a great player and wish him the best as he explores the NBA Draft. Hope he succeeds. I think his decision to go speaks volumes of the team chemistry. IMO it doesn't look like the team really is invested in winning. I think most of our players care more about the stat sheets than the final scoreboard. Now I think the players want to win, but until a coaching change happens I don't think we will ever reach our potential and work together as a team and play unselfish basketball.
We could have Popoola, Seljaas, Bartley IV, etc and I still don't think without a coaching change we are that much better. Coach Rose has done some great things, but the fire/motivation as a fan and a player for BYU basketball is gone. Football players are buying into the hype/optimism. Wayne Kirby tweet, new recruiting class, etc. We need the Kalani effect to happen to basketball too or else next year is going to be the same story no matter what personnel we have.
