If he actually leaves... yes. Who would want to play in Europe so badly...
..they sacrifice one more year to develop a little more? I cannot think anyone knowing how the system works would advise an underclassmen projected at 15-20th in the draft as his position to just go anyway. Nobody can tell if this will stunt his development or not but it certainly made things harder for him to play in the NBA in the long run.
