Look at the U, they were a well recognized power in basketball under Majerous but once they let him go they basically sucked. Their couldn't win enough games to keep 2,000 students/fans in their seats and they became carousel for coaches. After years of being a joke of a team they finally reached where BYU is now, which you seem to view as horrible and a change MUST happen.
BYU has a good basketball program, nothing compared to what Majerous had at the U, but would probably fall far below where the U fell with a coaching change. Just because BYU got lucky with Rose being better than Cleveland, it doesn't mean it would happen again. The numbers suggest that isn't the case and BYU could take years to recover to be somewhat relevant.
I have to compliment you for thinking positive about changes and that things will always work out better when some one gets fired, but reality has to at least be considered.
