I think the issue is Rose runs an outdated system, he can't change style...
...to be competitive using what we have. The run N gun, phi slamma jamma, or whatever you want to call it style does not win tournament games in this era of basketball. Rose has proved he is incapable of teaching and coaching a system that will win tournament games.
