I don't think it's doctrine but you can't tell me people wouldn't be better off without it.

So if I'm one of The 12 and I've got mountains of issues of eternal significance on my desk this one just isn't going to make the cut for my next talk.

It's just something they can't be bothered to change, whether it's doctrinal or not.
