not hard to explain.

"not commanded in all things", "teach them correct principals and allow men to govern themselves" - this is mormonism as I see it. Sometimes mormons are just begging for more clarification and consistency. They want to be told exactly what to do and what not to do so there's no conflict, but thats not really God's way.

Although its really minor, the correct principal would be to avoid unhealthy stimulants. You're free to do it, but the church doesn't have to support it. If they do change the rule I think thats great, but its just the way things are. no sense getting upset or embarrassed over it.
