I also installed an HVAC register in the garage. It's closed off now, but if I
ever want HVAC in the garage it's already piped for it.

I also plumbed air lines in the garage walls to the place I knew I would locate a compressor. Installed an extra power outlet there for the compressor, then ran air lines inside the walls to the inside edges of the garage door, over my workbench and overhead for a pull down compressor hose. I have a quick connect at the compressor to charge those lines when needed. It looks slick to have all this inside the walls rather than exposed.

Extra outlets overhead in the garage, for retractable droplights or extension cords.

I put a hose bib just inside the big garage door on the wall, along with a reel that will carry 50' of hose. It's secure inside and not an unsightly hose roll outside.

I also had the contractor curb the whole interior of the garage so I can safely hose it out without getting wicking up the sheetrock. He also cut in the concrete crack grooves but the covered them with the concrete "cream"so I don't have a deep groove that fills with dust and dirt. After 20 years, just a very small crack along the top of the groove in the cream.

Put speaker wires in the ceiling leading back to a central point and add power to where you might have a receiver or the like. I picked up an old cabinet receiver at a garage sale and have it wired through the walls to speakers for a radio while I'm working in the garage.

Think about where you might have an extra fridge or freezer and put an outlet there.
