could be. You could give her some assignments on Monday that ate due Friday. Be willing to help her but let her manage her time. If she doesn't get them turned in to you on Friday, there is a consequence.

This might help her learn to turn in homework in 5th grade.

Our 6th grader struggles with turning in assignments on time. They are almost always in his binder somewhere and he just didn't remember to turn it in. We're trying this with him this summer.
