different story. I would have a really hard time with that, even with a 4th grader. I probably wouldn't do a summer grounding, but maybe a week where she just works on school type assignments. Then have her complete one or two reading/homework assignments every day for the summer before she can go out and play.

Then keep that momentum going into a new year and new school.
