He got drafted by the Boston bruins, but never played in the NHL. Instead he went on to play in multiple pro leagues in Europe, Japan and also the AHL in the states (league just below the NHL). Every time he signs with a new team for another season of pro hockey we all congratulate him. Sure it's not the NHL, and his salary has substantially decreased since his signed his entry contract playing in the Bruins organization, but the guy gets paid to play a sport he loves. Why can't we be happy for Mika? Kid played his heart out for us while he was here, I wish him no ill will and will congratulate him even if he does play in some dirt league in Pakistan.
