He had a golden arm...

But, in my opinion, he was at first coddled by Doman/Mendenhall. Then he was benched/blamed/not supported.

Now Heaps did some stupid things. Not chasing the interception at Ole Miss was horrible. I was there. And we were all shocked.

He would have done much better under Anae or Detmer. He was successful his Freshman year with Anae controlling him.
