I think a better question is how did the guy get so much attention based only...

upon his high school reputation? He was a bust at what...three colleges. He was a bust with the pros (how did he even get considered?).

My next "better" question is what does anyone on the board still bring him up? He's undoubtedly a nice kid but can we let him ride off into the sunset? He was not a big deal anywhere after high school.
