Putting Hair in charge of BYU Sports exposure was a disaster last time. Why would it be any different this time. Most of the nation wanted to watch Jimmer, Hair did a great job of preventing this. When that type of player comes along again how can you be sure he'll act in everybody's best interest this time around?

We would not be joining a conference in the MWC where other University Presidents make good business decisions. Many will even hurt themselves in order to stick it to you. Just look at the decisions they made in the past especially right before and after BYU left. You'd join a group of like C- university presidents who would put a much lower ceiling on your success than what existed in the past. You would have less sane partners and more that would work bring BYU down to their level. So you be realistic.
