Yes, no and maybe. They would have to have the current P5 vote for them to have
autonomy the single biggest factor in being a power conference. They would have to destroy another G5 conference and try and pick up their CFP vote and they would have to have a media contract that would pay each team at least $20M/year and likely $30m/year given that the Big is going to $50M and then they would have to have some kind of channel/streaming agreement like the B12 is working on.
What are the odds of all of those happening? Probably less than the odds of what MHver3 is guessing.
Nothing against their struggle...when the BEast gave up their it was the beginning of the end for them, they still haven't recovered.
