feeling BYU is difficult to deal with. Bias isn’t in fair, but we can’t correct whatever is off-putting in our dealings if we refuse to think it’s anything but bias & collusion. Some of its socially conservative stances from way back as to why some avoid us.
I don’t believe the “difficult” label is a big conspiracy because they’re out to get us. Exaggerated? Most definitely, but insisting there’s zero justification for other programs & conferences not wanting to partner with us, which occurred over decades & involve different programs, conferences w very little in common with each other, dooms us to repeat it. Holmoe has surely gone a long way towards rectifying it, but the perception is still more damaging than many like to think.
