and Utah then worked with Colorado to lobby the Pac-10. As everyone knows, it didn't go down that way. Utah and BYU have been lobbying for years and nothing happened, then when the Pac decided to expand, it took Colorado as a preemptive strike against Baylor. When the PAC couldn't get the big boys (Texas and Oklahoma), it went with Utah. Utah was fortunate with how it played out. Of course the idea of one school lobbying for the other sounds good, but that has no impact on the conference's decision. They will go with who they want to go with and are familiar enough with the schools that a lobbying effort would not have any impact.
