Now, we hire Grimes, a guy who played OL at UTEP. He has NEVER called plays for a D-1 school. He has recently been the run game coordinator at LSU where he had the luxury of having NFL running backs playing for him. "A great hire" some say. When you do that, you have to be willing to spend a little time on the learning curve."

Great. A "learning curve." How much time are you willing to give him BYU? A year or two like you did Ty Detmer?
