Why I think this is a solid hire. Grimes has the mentality and coaching to at least address fundamental culture

issues in the program on the offensive side (or more). And, he is a master at coaching the most critical unit of a football team - the offensive line (IMO).

I'm not wowed at this point by anyone having a great football mind. I'm curious to how they can translate that.

My preference would be to have Grimes and Detmer together, but I think that's not going to happen.

Lack of execution is what he was fired for. My personal belief is most of this is on Kalani. I guess we’ll see.
