Switch that around a bit. This board is filled with examples of BYU fans doing the exact same thing with Utah.

So, no, I don't like BYU football. I don't hide that, but I don't try to push that here on Cougarboard. What would be the point?

Example: You go to work and your boss pisses you off. YOu go home to your family and unload your frustrations and opinions of him. Would you do that amongst coworkers, or even more specifically, to your boss? Well, BYU football is boss here on Cougarboard. Does that make you two-faced?

I don't see any reason to come here and stir the pot or troll. The questions I asked about withdrawing from school were serious. The one about Unga's dad being his bishop was also serious. That rumor has been floated by both Utah and BYU fans. I really just wanted to be informed.

I don't think I've ever hidden the fact that I don't like a lot of Mendenhall's approach. BTW, I am not alone in this. There is a good portion of the BYU fan base that wish that Bronco would stick to coaching and do less "evangelizing."

Aside from those "revealing" quotes about how I do not like BYU football and am skeptical of Bronco Mendenhall's public statements, everything else I said was pretty much the way I see it. I still believe that Unga will play in the fall. I believe that the only reason Teo was booted was that it had become public. I do think that exceptions are being made. Regardless, the fact that the new approach is that issues are handled "internally" and not with the Honor Code office raises suspicion, at the least.

There was nothing shocking in TRB's expose.

Why is it so unfathomable that a person would be civil and well behaved in someone else's home? I'm not going to come in here and drop a bomb. I'm not a troll. In my own "house", I kick off my shoes and put my feet up on the couch. I wouldn't do that at a neighbor's house.

Why do I come here? Well, to be honest, I live in Utah. I am from Utah. I am LDS. I am, actually, fairly conservative. So, there is a lot of discussion that goes on here that interests me from a cultural standpoint. BYU football is also of interest. I live and work with BYU fans. BYU is Utah's chief rival. We battle for recruits and media coverage. Often times, what affects Utah affects BYU and vice-versa.

For those of us with fairly well rounded lives and interests outside of football, we probably have a LOT more in common than we have differences. So, that's what draws me here.

Go back and read the quotes. Are they cynical regarding BYU football? Sure. But is that any different that what gets posted here regarding Utah football? No. Read the stuff that gets said about Whittingham and/or his approach to discpline. Same stuff, different color.

So, I really see nothing revealing or controversial in the "expose."

However, carry on...
