Can't fault anyone for having high standards. I also appreciate these qualities in a young man. So it's not fair to dump responsibility for these "checklists" on young women. They're learning this mentality somewhere. It's a part of LDS culture, but not our doctrine. And sometimes it gets rigid & silly. Put too much faith in these checklists & Manly Pointer ends up stealing your leg. So some rebellion against this culture is healthy.
