OK, so please explain to me WHY we are not seeing the increase
...in atmospheric temperatures? You posted yesterday(?) an explanation that global temperatures ARE still rising despite atmospheric temperatures either remaining constant or falling since 1998. Your explanation was that the oceans are warming.

If I accept that as fact (that the oceans are warming), I still don't get what is happening to the atmospheric temperatures. Why aren't they rising as well? I understand there is a heat exchange during el nino/la nina, but that is heat LEAVING the ocean and going into the atmosphere. What human-created issues cause the reverse? Are you saying the heat rises into the atmosphere, then gets reflected back somehow into the oceans? I'm not a scientist, but that doesn't seem to make sense. Heat rises, and I would think you would still measure an increase in temps in the atmosphere.
