I guess the point I was trying to make is that you need to discuss climate in the framework if the Milankovitch cycles. I believe your failure to do so significantly hampers your argument. Discussing the little ice age or other climatic events outside of this context is like describing an elephant by examining it's skin cells under a microscope... In my opinion.

And the inability of these scientists to explain the lack of sea-level rise had nothing to do with a brief conversation. These were colleagues of mine. It is just a topic usually avoided by climate change alarmists because it is one of the stronger peices of data against anthropogenic warming.

But, the more I study the topic the more I realize I don't fully grasp it. I just hope the debate continues. I agree that politicians and movie stars should not be the ones framing the discussion. Just realize that scientists have their own biases as well.
