I never took it for anxiety, but was prescribed it while on my mission in Chile.
Made my hair fall out and made it feel like the whole world was spinning.
I stopped taking it and felt instantly better. Hair never grew back.

I know you're joking but being dependent on benzodiazepines is basically the same thing as being dependent on alcohol

One has 7 calories/gram :). BZs I believe are much safer than alcohol.

Is this a family medicine doctor managing your anxiety meds, or a psychiatrist?

Psychologists can't prescribe meds. Psychiatrists are super hard to get an appointment with. I think

I agree. Most people are fairly tolerant with fewer side effects to an SSRI. Also agree that cog/beh is

Depends on the state. Psychologists have prescription privileges in a few states

It's true but there are additional requirements as well so they're pretty rare even if in one of the 5 states.

It’s true. I have prescription privileges in Iowa. Number is growing but small.

An Occasional Ativan is pretty harmless. Good luck.

If you haven’t ever spoken with a counselor, do it! They’re awesome!

What?! Drinking/drugs or suicide is a false dichotomy. Sure, if someone on CB recommended suicide it would be a worse

Some surgeons take it to help with hand tremors when they get old.

It really depends on the type of anxiety and a whole host of other factors.
