I think players are getting better thanks to technology
You can’t tell me that a pro nowadays who owns a trackman and can see in an instant his carry distance, spin, attack angle and all that other info doesn’t have a huge advantage on a pro back in any other time.

285 used to be really long. Now its a PGA Tour bunt. Equipment has made huge strides. Course design needs to adapt.

Up the risk reward for sure. Now it is just reward. Firm up greens as well. Harder to control shots from more rough.
