And the rough being too long and fairways too narrow. Yes. It was in Oklahoma
that year I believe and the golfers were apoplectic that conditions weren’t “optimal”.
Made me laugh. They were/are so pampered by country club conditions that they can’t handle golfing in conditions like normal muni golfers.

285 used to be really long. Now its a PGA Tour bunt. Equipment has made huge strides. Course design needs to adapt.

Up the risk reward for sure. Now it is just reward. Firm up greens as well. Harder to control shots from more rough.
