Disagree. Some of the greatest courses in the world have been made obsolete by
technology and that is not good for the game. It’s really hard for courses to just “adapt”, land and cost become real issues when trying to match the increasing length of today’s players.

To me, seeing Cam Champ or Matt Wolff hit it 350 over every hazard the architect put into place and then have a short wedge in almost every hole is not entertaining to me.

I’d rather see Tiger with a long iron having to shape a shot onto a green. If the ball was rolled back, courses played firmer (as opposed to the pillow soft conditions they play on now), you would see a lot of guys really struggle. And you would see again how great Tiger really is. People think it was Tiger’s length that made him so good, but it was his iron play and imagination that made him who he is.

I’d rather see the artistry of that than the complete oblivion of these golf courses due to insane technology and brute strength.
