Battery university claims 1000-2000 cycles for the chemistry Tesla is using.
That and we know batteries get worse over time. But they still hold up well enough people keep using them. Here is some Tesla's with the older chemistry.
But the real goal for Tesla and other EV car makers is to get to LMFP battery chemistries with a Solid State or Sillicon based Anode as those batteries have 5,000 total cycle life and still give a lot of energy for their weight. They also are made with mostly dirt cheap materials.
That would make a car with 250 miles range go well over 1 million miles in their life span. The car will likely last closer to 300-450K miles, and then the next 800K miles will be used as grid storage for solar/wind/etc.
EDIT: I did not link the Battery University link for LMFP batteries.
https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-212-future-batteries near the bottom, this battery will need Anode improvements for it to work.
