Last new one to go active was 2016. Since the one in South Carolina was canceled (paid more than 9 billion for a big hole in the ground) for balloning construction cost and fraud. These in Georgia are the only ones under construction which started in 2012 with a budget of 14 billion. Not done yet with construction but the cost estimates were just bumped up over 34 billion.



Nuclear won't be coming to the rescue anytime soon in the US.
