He also is a good journalist. His work was not slanted, it simply occasionally highlighted negative aspects of BYU, which is to be expected when you don't work at the Deseret News. This may come as a shock to you, but not everything that happens at BYU is a good thing.
Jay got a bad rap from a lot of CBers, many of whom will probably thumbs down this post, but many of those people thought he should be Dick Harmon (a columnist vs. a beat writer and not a good comparison).
As Hehas said in local radio interviews, he has had kids who attended BYU. Most of the issues that upset CB, he was just doing his job.
Shame on you for being "glad" that someone lost his livelihood.
