There are bad apples in every profession that drag down the reputation of all
the others.
This is is true for lawyers, doctors, dentists, car salesmen, mechanics, plumbers, etc.
No doubt, there are bad apples in journalism, too.
Jay is not one of them (not saying you said that. You said the opposite). In fact, the majority of them aren't, either. Most are good people who believe they are making a difference and love that they work in an industry where they can.
