he probably is a good man, he probably was really nice to you and hundreds of other people. Kudos to you for knowing a BYU critic personally and as I said, it's too bad a man lost his job.

But don't obfuscate any of that goodness for the loss of a product that routinely and unnecessarily hurt the brand I love most in the world. Criticism and negativity is not necessarily journalism and I'd argue that it's a pernicious brand of editorializing to his anti-Mormon audience that's worse than being a Dnews columnist.

So yes, I'm glad the nice man you know is no longer given a platform to tear down BYU anymore. Perhaps if he and his paper had tried a more positive and supportive approach, they wouldn't be where they are.
