He'll find another job; happens to everyone at some point and yeah, it might be hard for him personally for little while but he'll find his way back on his feet. I hope he does. But let's not pretend for a minute that most BYU fans enjoyed his work-- It was negative, it was slanted, it was critical and many of his articles become a regular joke on this board because of how predictably awful they were. As a potential SlTrib customer, that's not what I want to read, nor did I like the idea of a major publication and beat writer constantly giving ammo to BYU's abundant naysayers and fault-finders. For BYU fans, his product was terrible and deserved to be replaced or removed.

And before you say it was his editors or his headline writers, keep in mind that you'd find very similar examples of his anti-BYU slanted negativity in his live interview questions and in his unfiltered tweets. I don't see how this is anything but good news for BYU.

So yes, I'm happy that a major source of negativity for my favorite school is gone and when he does find another job, I hope it's far far away from BYU and BYU sports.
