Nope. Watch the movie Unbroken, then read the book after. Then repeat with
several other classic books that were turned into movies.

The book is almost always better, and is often much, much better. The 2-hour format of most movies constrains a filmmaker from adding anywhere near the detail a book can add.

Now the idea that it's easier to watch the movie than to read the book is probably correct. But easier isn't always best.
