Too many confuse "education" with "training"
Education is not meant to specifically train you for a career. Education is largely meant to teach skills such as critical thinking, communication, analytics, etc. Those tools can then be used to train people to work in a specific industry or career.

In my professional background both in management consulting and in industry, we rarely hire someone with a bachelor's in business. Instead we look for people that have studied (and excelled) in majors such as Comparative Literature, Physics, Economics, etc. Not because these individuals have a specific knowledge of business principles to apply (in fact, they often have to be taught basic principles of business), but because they are far superior in being able to think, analyze and communicate.
