Seems to me that if you want to both lose weight and maintain muscle that you are going to have to play the long game
With a calorie deficit less than 400 and plan on losing that 30 lbs of fat over an extended period of time.

How confident are you in your exercise calories? How does your fitbit measure calorie burn?

Have tried a chest monitor just to check? I believe the chest straps are more accurate.
