My daughter (21-yo) has been having pain so bad it's completely debilitating.
She's been to the ER 5 times for that since January, and had an exploratory surgery, multiple scans and tests, with no answers.

Then she went to a general surgeon on the chance it could be an appendix that wasn't given all the symptoms. He decided she just wasn't pooping (really) and he prescribed the colon blow liquid you take to clean you out for a colonoscopy. She had an allergic reaction to that, so we had to hit the ER again because her throat closed off and she was struggling to breathe. And, that wasn't the problem, of course.

Still no answers, but she's seeing a gastroenterologist in a few days.

So, yeah, we can relate. Good luck to you.
