The one where I said BYU is already better than a fair number of P5 teams? I've absolutely never said BYU shouldn't be in a P5 conference, and am absolutely psyched that we will be.  I'll admit not thinking it was coming this soon (don't think I'm the only one in that boatd), but I also think it was long overdue.

Regarding G5 vs Independence, I've definitely had concerns that being Independent has made the national landscape less aware of us (due to limited postseason opportunities), and I also don't believe being tagged as independent has made us any less associated with the G5 for the majority of fans.  I thought that being AAC would give us a better shot at a down-the-road invite to a P5 conference (which, again, I honestly didn't expect this soon).  That's an anti-BYU-independence take and you can absolutely disagree with it - because it's something I've said.

And I'll say that there's even an argument that it was a wrong take - I still don't think being in the AAC would have prevented us from being invited to the Big 12 (after all, they invited 3 AAC teams), but the argument for Independence is that it worked, and we don't (and can't) know what would have happened in an alternate history.

So we can debate that if you like.  Might not be an interesting debate since I already concede independence worked, but at least it's a position I took.  Saying that I don't want BYU to be a P5 school though doesn't make sense since I never took that position, and never would.

The closest you can get is that I mentioned being disappointed in a local radio station overlooking BYU when talking about Big 12 expansion.  I'm not sure how expressing disappointment in BYU being overlooked is trying to tear them down, but if it is, a large portion of the board is also anti-BYU and has also failed (in whatever you're thinking I've failed at...not even sure what that is)
