This is why it's good that there was such a rush to expand
Without the pressure there would have been more time for the negative arguments against BYU to build.
And then there's a chance (not a guarantee, but at least a chance) that the Big 12 either only takes two teams (Cincy and UCF) or takes 4 with one of SMU, Memphis, Boise or even USF (mostly as a travel partner for UCF) getting the nod over BYU.
That said, too late for second thoughts now Iowa State. It's a done deal
