We are used to a stop the run first D. Attack the LOS of scrimmage D. This isn't that. This is built to limit the modern spread offense. Not give up big plays. Make the O be patient and most aren't. Or hope the QB turns it over.
Ot has been pretty effective but it really hard to watch. So that is the issue. It's not a fun D to watch. At least not without some elite DL who can get pressure with 3 or 4 consistently.
