is completely obvious. When I got to my job, we had 14 people in my department. It was ridiculous at the level of productivity and so easy to see. Now we have 9 employees (all through regular attrition). If we were WFH, we would still have 14. Good managers can measure productivity in the office. Much more difficult and maybe even impossible with WFH.
I look at WFH as a cost of doing business. When times get tough, it will probably be the first thing to go, meaning less people or a move overseas. That is the cold, hard truth.
