So does that make him a better player?
You are what you contribute to the team, not what someone says your potential may be. J.R. Smith is easily one of the 10 most talented players in the NBA. Great shot, incredible athleticism so does that mean he is one of the 10 best players in the NBA? Of course not. They guy doesn't have it between the ears.
Karl may or may not have been healthy (he missed 1/2 of the season as it was), but that doesn't make him a better player.
