Our past success is still carrying us but we are on the brink of that ending. We need to ask ourselves how many recruits we truly go head to head with LSU over? Now consider how many we go head to head with Utah with. Who is our main competitor for obtainable athletes? Our coaches aren't going after Utah Mormon poly kids because they are ignoring talented black athletes in Texas! They are targeting talented players that are likely to come to BYU and the greatest number of those kids rest in Utah and other western states where talented athletes will follow PAC 12 schools and hopefully BYU.

The program has new life from Kalani most especially because players believe he can win. Winning trumps all. If the losing to Utah continues it will be clear to recruits that BYU is not coming back and is the second hand school between the two.

I'm not trying to insight doom and gloom but rather paint a picture of reality as it stands. CougarFan777 is dead on here. A win against Utah is a massive step in righting a ship that has been veering in a dangerous direction. We need a win in this rivalry and it needs to come now!
