You are clearly more connected than I will EVER be, but I think you hit nail right on the head.

I have been a huge Bronco supporter and will continue to root for his success. There aren't many LDS coaches around, and all LDS coaches eventually have some tie to BYU. What I mean is BYU will always consider them for coaching positions, including HC so Bronco's success at UVA and anywhere else will only help BYU in the future as brings in other LDS assistant coaches. They will gain valuable experience outside of the LDS bubble, see how other P5 programs work, etc.

That being said, he was definitely not "cool" amongst the high school age kids and it was apparent.

I've said this before on the board, but this last recruiting class should make Utah worried. We easily won the in-state recruiting battle and the tide is turning. We snagged players from predominantly "Utah HS territory" in East, Bingham, Hunter, and partially Olympus. This didn't happen under Bronco.

Kalani is turning BYU back into a "cool" school and that is going to make all the difference!
