Do you allow investigators into your home if you have not met them previously?
We invited the missionaries over to our house for FHE tonight, along with another family in the ward. At the last minute, the missionaries also decided to invite some random guy that they met on the street and they didn't tell us until he was basically on our doorstep. So this guy comes in, and he's.....weird...... He is wearing a backpack, but he doesn't want to take it off. Then we start talking to him, and some of the details of his stories don't quite line up. For instance, he said he lives 6 miles north of us, but then he named the next neighborhood over, which is probably not even a mile away and definitely not north. When we asked him what he does for work, he listed off totally different things at different points in the evening. At one point, he said he was a carpenter and a Jewish preacher. At another point, he said he was a professional guitarist. He also said he does counseling for people with troubled backgrounds. The whole time, he is offering to bless us with essential oils and is making odd connections throughout the evening. For instance, someone mentioned the book of James, and he says, "JAMES! That's the guy who dropped me off tonight! Not a coincidence!!!!" And then he said something about not buying bananas from the store because he knew that God would provide him with bananas (we had banana splits for dessert). Then he asked us to drop him off at his house, but as we started driving toward that neighborhood, he changed his mind and had us drop him off at a bar because apparently God told him that's where he needed to go in that moment.

So anyway, I'm just feeling a little bit weird about the whole thing and am wondering if we just had some kind of crazy guy in our house. Normally, I don't think I would allow this type of thing for this exact reason. Double checking all the doors and windows tonight...
