I don't invite people into my home that I don't know ever.
Salesmen, door to door folks, anyone. We can chat on the doorstep if you're friendly enough, but I just don't take the chance with strangers in my home. Even friends of friends don't make the cut most of the time, unless I've been previously acquainted with them.
