Deserved? What he deserved was to be paid for the job he did, and he was.
While I wish that they had kept him on staff, changes happen in jobs everywhere for many reasons. And deserve has little to do with anything with respect to those changes, because in the workforce that doesn't exist.
I think it was a mistake though. He should be the DL coach at BYU. He did a great job in that capacity. Sad to see him go. But the HC has the right to make those changes, because he knows he is next. So we have to let Sitake do it.
